Our Advisory Board
Statement of Principles
As experts in science, medicine, and agronomy, we have come together to evaluate the data on the pros and cons of genetically modified organisms (GMO) through an expert review process. We do this within the greater context of the relationships between GMOs and the global ecological and food systems.
In the spirit of integrity in our fields of study, we continue to refine and challenge the validity of our own views, as well as the ever-evolving conventional wisdom surrounding the impacts of GMO technology in the food, health and agricultural sectors.
Dr. Stephanie Seneff
Dr. Stephanie Seneff is a Senior Research Scientist at MIT’s Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA. She has a BS degree from MIT in biology and MS, EE, and PhD degrees from MIT in electrical engineering and computer science. Her recent interests have focused on the role of toxic chemicals and micronutrient deficiencies in health and disease, with a special emphasis on the pervasive herbicide, glyphosate, and the mineral, sulfur. Since 2008, she has authored over three dozen peer-reviewed journal papers on these topics. She is the author of a book on glyphosate, titled “Toxic Legacy: How the Weedkiller Glyphosate Is Destroying Our Health and the Environment,” which was released by Chelsea Green publishers on July 1, 2021. This book was selected by Kirkus Reviews as one of the best non-fiction books of 2021.
Zen Honeycutt
Zen Honeycutt, Founding Executive Director of Moms Across America, a non-profit National Coalition of Unstoppable Moms. With the motto “Empowered Moms, Healthy Kids,” Moms Across America has grown rapidly with over 600 leaders have created 1,000+ community events in all 50 states in the first 5 years of inception. Zen has three boys with allergies and autism symptoms which greatly improved when they went GMO-Free and organic. She discovered that thousands of Moms are seeing the same results.
Zen is the author of UNSTOPPABLE, Transforming Sickness and Struggle into Triumph, Empowerment, and Celebration of Community.
With a background in art and design and natural wellness, Zen brings a creative approach to problem-solving and has been at the forefront in bringing awareness about the global impact of GMOs and glyphosate. She instigated the first consumer-funded glyphosate testing in America.
Beth Lambert
Beth Lambert is a former healthcare consultant and teacher. As a consultant, she worked with pharmaceutical, medical device, diagnostic, and other health care companies to evaluate industry trends. She is the author of A Compromised Generation: The Epidemic of Chronic Illness in America’s Children (Sentient Publications, 2010). She is also a co-author of Epidemic Answers’ Brain Under Attack: A Resource for Parents and Caregivers of Children with PANS, PANDAS, and Autoimmune Encephalitis. In 2009, Beth founded Epidemic Answers and currently serves as Executive Director. She is the ED of Documenting Hope, a research project focused on children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Beth is also the mother of three young children.
Education
Beth attended Oxford University and graduated from Williams College and holds a Masters Degree in American Studies from Fairfield University. She is a member of Alpha Sigma Nu, the Jesuit Honor Society.
Johnathan R Latham, PhD
Jonathan R Latham, PhD Is Co-founder and Executive Director of the Bioscience Resource Project and Editor of the Independent Science News website. Prior to heading the Bioscience Resource Project he published scientific papers in disciplines as diverse as plant ecology, plant virology and genetics. He regularly presents at scientific conferences on papers published by the Bioscience Resource Project. He is also a fellow of the 21st Century Trust.
Education
Graduate: Dr. Latham holds a Masters degree in Crop Genetics and a PhD in Virology. He was subsequently a postdoctoral research associate in the Department of Genetics, University of Wisconsin, Madison.
Howard Vlieger
Howard Vlieger is a third-generation Iowan farmer and leading authority on soil health, GMOs, and regenerative farming. His expertise and commitment to regenerative agriculture have earned him recognition globally. Howard’s innovative work includes the development of nontoxic herbicides, revolutionizing weed management practices, and was the lead investigator on a groundbreaking pig/GMO study. Through his products and livestock, he impacts hundreds of families, embodying ethical farming practices and community engagement. His written contributions have appeared in notable organizations such as The Children’s Health Defense. Howard is dedicated to sowing the seeds of a greener, more vibrant future.
