Hacked!
Hacked!
CEO, Dr. Michelle Perro discusses infant formula and heavy metal toxicity.
On January 5, 2024, our website, gmoscience.org went down. In the past 10 years since its inception, this has never occurred. What has changed?
A raw nerve was touched. Perhaps, it is the 1.4-billion-dollar infant formula industry that doesn’t want its products exposed for heavy metals? Speculation, of course. This is the first foray by our nonprofit into the research arena. Possibly, we may have stepped on some toes.
Guest blog: Glyphosate/AMPA and Asthma in Argentina
Note from GMOScience: Chuck Benbrook, PhD in agricultural economics, (https://hygeia-analytics.com/about/who-we-are/) writes about the publication of a recent shocking study from Argentina exposing the explosion of asthma in the Argentinian city of Monte Maiz from pesticides (1). Glyphosate/AMPA and Asthma in Argentina; reflections on a concerning new study “This is why glyphosate joins a relatively few pesticides as an essentially unavoidable, ubiquitous global pollutant of the human body...

India Takes Steps to Reduce Glyphosate Use in Agriculture
I was thrilled when I first heard that the president of Mexico had decreed a ban on glyphosate use in agriculture beginning in January 2024. However, the industry fought back hard, and while it looked for a while as if they weren’t going to be able to stop the ban, the latest news I have is that the Sixth District Judge in Administrative Matters granted an injunction against the decree that was instigated by Bayer, the producer of glyphosate.

Moms Across America has Tested Public School Lunches for Toxicity and Nutritional Value, and the News is Not Good.
Moms Across America (MAA) is a nonprofit consumer group founded by Zen Honeycutt that advocates for lifestyles that support good health and longevity. A particular focus of the group has been the issue of pesticide contamination in foods, especially the pervasive herbicide glyphosate (the active ingredient in Roundup).
TNT Radio: Dr Michelle Perro on What’s Making Our Children Sick?
Although foods derived from GE crops have gone from non-existent in 1994 to ubiquitous in nearly 3 decades, not a single study has compared humans who eat them to those who don’t. It is clearly in the public interest to enable science-based decisions about foods and food-like ingredients derived from GE crops and animals in our diets. Research on the untoward effects of GE crops on human and animal health, as well as their effects on the environment, should be undertaken.
Bt and GMOs
Introduced into our food supply without study or accountability, limited data shows significant evidence of inflammation and health harm.
Farming without Herbicides
GMOs have failed as a technology as the constant use of herbicides as the only weeding strategy has caused the development of many species of herbicide-tolerant super seeds. The response has been to genetically modify more crops to be tolerant of multiple toxic herbicides. This has dramatically increased the use of these pesticides with all their adverse health and environmental outcomes.
